Cardew Crescent House

The simple yet dynamic form developed for this alteration and addition to an existing residence in Holder gained its energy and balance from a design process that engaged the philosophies of Feng Shui.

It’s been 6 years since Anna and Nabil rebuilt our house, and we wouldn’t change a thing. We loved the process and we love our home. It’s a constant source of joy and delight to live in such a beautiful home — a house designed for living, and a house designed for all seasons. Combining clever design and integration with the garden, our house celebrates rather than hides from the seasons… and we like that very much!

Owners

The brief for this project was to achieve a built form and functional space that manifested a new beginning of life for the young energetic couple. The residence was completed pre-Canberra bushfires in 2003, and was fortunate to survive the disaster with the help of the owners, assisted by their community.
